Railway support
Passage of train wheels on a railway track causes a dynamic vertical load on the sleepers and ballast. This pumping action can cause sub soil being pumped upwards into the ballast foundation, decreasing rapidly its bearing capacity. Our geotextiles resist the upward passage of fine soil particles and reduce settlements and retain the capacity and quality of the ballast.
Our geosynthetics include solutions for:
- Reduction of the pumping effects on railway tracks
- Ballast or sub-ballast reinforcement
- Radar detectable geotextile for non-destructive investigation
